Team TVS Racing rider Harith Noah edged closer to overall title in the SX1 Foreign Expert Class as he won both the Motos in Round 5 of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Supercross Championship in Nashik on Sunday.
On a picturesque track located at Suyojit Virdian, the fight for the chequered flag went all the way through the end in all Classes and it was the battle between Noah and Jinan that was worth watching.
In the absence of teammate Abdul Waheed Tanweer, Noah rode his TVS RTR300 with as much confidence even though privateer Jinan from Thrissur controlled his Kawasaki KX250F to take second position in both the Motos.
“All the races were good fought even though Foreign Open Expert Class was most competitive that lifted Noah up in the championship standings,” said Shyam Kothari, former National Champion and Director of Godspeed Racing, the organiser of the event.
Noah won 20 points from both Motos while Jinan had to settle for second positions for 17 points each. Noah now leads the standings with 150 points from five rounds, 10 ahead of Jinan (140).
