R. Natraj will lead a field of 47 riders in the second round of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI National 2-wheeler rally championship in Indore.
The riders will take the course for a mandatory recce round after the flag-off. The championship course is 17.11km long, which the riders will go over thrice to complete the distance.
“The course is a combination of dirt and tarmac before the riders would head into the quar-ries and hill area in the Chinar Hills near Indore bypass,” said Amit Waghchoure
The pre-rally day saw 52 riders line up for documentation and scrutiny, but only 47 were deemed fit to race after scrutiny, to avoid any safety issues during
“Indore was a revelation last year during National Supercross championship and also we got good response during National 2-wheeler rally we had to come back here this year again,” said Shyam Kothari, director of Godspeed Racing, the promoters of the championship.
While R Natraj, riding for TVS Racing, is the man to be watch on his RTR 450FX bike, the continued absence of injured TVS rider Abdul Waheed Tanweer has opened up the rally for others to challenge Natraj.
TVS Racing riders Rajendra RE and Suhail Ahmed will ride in Class 4.
